The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has filed a lawsuit against Sadeeq Agro Chairman Md Imran Hossain over allegations of laundering Tk133 crore abroad. The case was registered with the Mohammadpur Police Station.

On Tuesday, CID produced Imran before the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court. He was arrested from the capital on Monday.

CID claimed, Md Imran imported Brahma cows through duplicity and violation of regulations. He also smuggled in cows of small breed from Nepal and Bhutan for selling these in Bangladesh markets.
