The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have planned to introduce a mandatory dope test for freshers in the academic session 2024-25.
Syed Mohammad Ali Reza, deputy registrar (academic) of JU, confirmed the matter on Monday, reports BSS.
The decision was made at a meeting of the central admission test management committee, chaired by JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, Ali Reza said.
“The applicant must undergo a dope test at a medical college or clinic assigned by the university administration under government-recognized policies. If the dope test result is positive, the applicant will be ineligible for university enrollment,” he added.
