Four men died after a fire broke out on the second floor of Saudia hotel, a residential hotel in Bashtala, Shahjadpur, Dhaka, on Monday, according to Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters officials.
The fire started around noon, and the fire service received the information at 12:17 pm. It was brought under control by 1:04 pm.
The bodies of four deceased individuals were found on the sixth floor of the building. One body was discovered inside the bathroom, while three were found at the base of the staircase. It has been reported that the staircase door was locked.
The identities of the deceased and the cause of the fire are yet to be determined.
