He said that a Constituent Assembly election and a new constitution are necessary to build a new republic. NCP will work to fulfill the aspirations of all democratic movements, including the Liberation War.
Nahid Islam said this after paying tributes at the National Martyrs' Memorial on Tuesday. He called for a judicial process to end the politics of the Awami League.
He also said that we will move forward quickly after fulfilling the conditions for registration. The work of formulating the constitution is underway.
Party’s member secretary Akhtar Hossain said that the motto of independence has remained elusive. NCP is committed to implementing this motto. The party will conduct its activities as a centrist party without going into the right-left binary.
On the afternoon of February 28, NCP officially launched its journey as a new political party through a huge rally at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital. On Tuesday, the party started its activities as a political party by paying tribute at the National Martyrs' Memorial.
