The people of Chattogram witnessed another big funeral of the commemoration period. People from far and wide were started coming to the Jamiatul Falah Mosque from morning to attend the Namaz-e-Janaza of former minister and BNP vice chairman and valiant freedom fighter Abdullah Al Noman.
All streams of people came and participated at Dampara. Many of them had bouquets of flowers in their hands, black badges of mourning on their chests.
The mosque complex was filled with devotees. The field was also filled to the brim before the Friday prayers. Many people stood in long ques to see the face of the popular politician for the last time.
The first Namaz-e-Janaza of Abdullah Al Noman was held in Chattogram after Jummah prayers on Friday. BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chattogram City Corporation mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Jamaat Metropolitan Ameer Shahjahan Chowdhury, BNP North District convener Golam Akbar Khandaker, Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, Mir Mohammad Helal, City BNP convener Ershad Ullah, Abul Hashem Bakkar, the deceased's son Sayeed Al Noman, Jatiya Party's Solaiman Alam Seth, Anwar Hossain of Anjumane Rahmania Ahmadiyya Sunni, among others were also present. A state guard of honor was given after the funeral.
