Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has said the fascist Awami League government carried out the Shapla Chattar massacre to perpetuate its power.
The press secretary made these remarks at a shadow parliament debate competition on the Shapla Chattar massacre organized by Debate for Democracy at the capital's FDC on Friday morning.
He said, "The exact number of Hefazat (Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh) deaths in the Shapla Chattar attack has not yet been confirmed. The party can do research on this and provide accurate information."
Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam also said that it is urgent to investigate the Shapla Chattar massacre. The youth of the 24th century have shown Sheikh Hasina that the time for dictatorship is over. The government will properly investigate all the killings, including the Shapla Chattar killings. However, for now, the mass uprising will prevail. All those involved in the killings will be brought to justice. However, time is needed for justice.
