BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “People want to have meal at least once a day. If that food is not guaranteed, if rickshaw pullers and CNG drivers do not have the ability to buy a handful of rice, then the sacrifices of the movement, the sacrifices of students, labours, and the common public and the 17-year-long struggles of political parties will all go in vain. Why is there still inflation? Even, VAT has been imposed on many products.”
He said this at a view-exchange meeting with photojournalists working in various media outlets who were injured in the 24th mass uprising.
The event was organized by the BNP family at the Krishibid Institute in Khamarbari in the capital on Monday evening.
He said, “Sheikh Hasina has no regrets, the entire Awami League has no regrets. If they come to power in the country anymore, then they will not leave the last trace of the country's independence, sovereignty, and democracy. They have proven this already.”
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is virtually participating in the program as the chief guest. Also present are 'Amra BNP Paribas' advisor Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie and other leaders.
