A court today (February 12) set May 7 for submitting probe reports in two separate cases filed against former Social Welfare Minister Dr Dipu Moni and her husband Taufiq Newaz filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, accepting the FIRs of the cases, reports BSS.
The ACC filed the two cases on February 10. They brought charges against Dipu Moni for amassing illegal wealth of Taka 5.92 crore and making suspicious transactions of Taka 59.79 crore through 28 bank accounts during her days in the cabinet.
The anti-graft watchdog in the case against Taufiq Newaz said he amassed illegal wealth of Taka 1.96 crore and kept those under his possession.
