Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government has gone to visit Aynaghar. He was accompanied by representatives from local and international media, as well as victims of the previous fascist regime.
Senior Assistant Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Fayez Ahmed, confirmed this information to the media on Wednesday (February 12).
Earlier, on January 19, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing announced that the commission on enforced disappearances had held a meeting with the Chief Adviser. During the meeting, he was briefed on the progress of investigations related to enforced disappearances. At that time, detainees were reportedly held in a facility known as the Joint Interrogation Cell, commonly referred to as Aynaghar.
Following the commission members’ request, the Interim Government Chief Adviser has now gone to visit these places.
