The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,906 cases for violating traffic rules during a special drive conducted across the capital.
During the drive, 181 vehicles were dumped and 63 others were towed, said DMP Assistant Commissioner (Media) Jahangir Kabir on Wednesday.
The operation is part of the DMP's continued efforts to enforce traffic discipline and reduce congestion in the city, reports UNB.
The Traffic Division has pledged to continue such operations in various areas of Dhaka to ensure better traffic management and compliance with traffic laws, he added.
