Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced a nationwide program calling for the trial and banning of the Awami League in a post on their varified facebook page today (February 12).
According to the post, the funeral of Shaheed Abul Kashem, who was killed by Awami criminals in Gazipur, will be held at the Central Shaheed Minar at 9 pm tonight. Following the funeral, a coffin procession will take place from the Shaheed Minar, demanding the trial and banning of the Awami League
Simultaneously, a Ghaibana Janaza for Shaheed Kashem will be held nationwide across all districts, upazilas, unions, and villages, accompanied by coffin processions demanding the trial and banning of the Awami League, with participants observing the events at their designated times.
Earlier, On the night of February 8, Abul Kashem was attacked by Awami criminals in Gazipur. He was subsequently receiving treatment.
At around 3 pm today, he passed away in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, confirmed Abul Kashem's death in a post on his verified facebook page. He wrote, "Kashem, who was injured in the attack by Awami criminals in Gazipur, has become a martyr. He is the first martyr of the counter-revolution."
"Interim, ban the Awami League, it must be done."
