Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Central secretary general Sajidur Rahman said, “Awami League used Ulama-e-Keram as a tool to consolidate power. There will be no compromise with Awami League until Sheikh Hasina is hanged. We got this freedom in exchange for the blood of our innocent children in the July Revolution.”
“Many leaders and activists of Hefazat gave their lives for this freedom. Now, a new conspiracy is going on to take over the country. Indian agents are conspiring; we have to fight against them.”
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the representative conference organized by Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Comilla District and Metropolitan today, Monday.
He also said, “A solid unity of Islamic forces must be built to give meaning to the victory achieved in the bloody mass uprising of the students in the fall of the dictatorship and upright spirit of true independence.”
The event was moderated by Mufti Shamsul Islam Jilani, President of Hefazat-e-Islam Cumilla Metropolitan City, and chaired by Allama Nurul Haque, Advisor to the Central Committee.
