A mild cold wave is sweeping over parts of country and it may spread, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said on Thursday.
“Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Panchagarh and Chuadanga and it may spread,” according to the regular weather bulletin.
Night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the country, it said.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
The lowest temperature in the country today was recorded at9.1 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi’s Badalgachhi on Thursday while the highest temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf on Wednesday.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining Western part of Bangladesh.
A seasonal low pressure is located over the South Bay, with its trough stretching to the North Bay.
