The government provides directives to its employees to remain cautious and ministry of public administration, in this regard, issued 9-point directives to them.
The directives signed by senior secretary of public administration ministry Dr Mokhles Ur Rahman were reached to the secretaries.
The instructions include: considering the changing context of the current political situation of the country, the government employees have to perform their duties with more caution. Recently, news of the activities of some offices at the field level has been published in various media, creating an embarrassing situation, which is undesirable, the letter said. To avoid these problems, nine-point directives have been given.
The guidelines advised to take the help of intelligence agencies if necessary to get a clear idea about the things like from which institution the invitation came, who is behind the event. It has been asked to be careful not to celebrate all the days which have been declared canceled by the government through the gazette notification. It was also advised to collect information about other guests invited to the event to avoid controversy. Furthermore, it is advised to avoid the event if any controversial person is on the guest list of the event.
Invitations/banners/leaflets/flags/any other printed papers of the events are asked to check whether description, logo or slogan etc. contains any objectionable/controversial material. The government has suggested giving a written statement on the occasion.
It has been asked to avoid any kind of slogans and sounds at this time. In the letter of the Ministry of Public Administration, instructions have been given to keep yourself and all colleagues in your jurisdiction away from any kind of rumours.
