Many policemen including officers were transferred to new work stations as the situation of the country changed after August 5. They were ordered to join immediately in the letter of transfer, but many of them didn’t join yet. Hence, the Police Headquarters decided to take actions against them.
Recently, an office order of the police headquarters gave instructions in this regard. The order was signed by Additional DIG (Personnel Management-1) Khandker Shamima Yasmin of Police Headquarters.
According to the order, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and above officers who have been transferred to various units will have to hand over their old duty by November 5. If anyone does not hand over duty by 5th, they will be given immediate stand release on 6th November.
The order also said that if any officer does not join the new work place within the stipulated time, the respective unit heads will take necessary action against them.
After taking action, it was asked to report the matter to the police headquarters through a letter, the order said.
