The Election Commission search committee on Sunday sought the proposed names of qualified individuals for the appointments of the chief election commissioner (CEC) and other election commissioners (ECs).
“Political parties and professional organisations may submit the names of no more than five recommended individuals for the position of CEC and other ECs by 5:00 pm on November 7, 2024,” according to a press statement signed by Cabinet Division Joint Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Sarker.
According the statement, individuals may also propose their names independently.
