Shoaib Mithun, a senior photojournalist at Banglanews24.com, passed away in Dhaka today (October 21) at the age of 37.
Mithun breathed his last in the evening while being transported by ambulance from Labaid Cancer Hospital to his residence in Dhaka, family sources said.
He had been battling colon cancer for over a year and had received treatment at various hospitals, including one in India.
Shoaib is survived by his father, mother, wife, and 6-year-old daughter.
Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Shoaib Mithun.
He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
