The government has appointed M Amanul Haq as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Turkey, reports UNB.
Amanul will be replacing Ambassador Mosud Mannan in this capacity, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
He is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)-Foreign Affairs cadre.
He is currently serving as the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry, a position he has been holding since 2020.
Joining the service in 1999, Amanul has served the government in various capacities both at home and abroad.
Ambassador-designate Amanul started his diplomatic career as Consul and Deputy Head of Mission at Bangladesh Consulate General in New York.
