Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said not a single Rohingya would be allowed to Bangladesh further.
He was addressing reporters coming out of the 5th founding anniversary of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) police at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Monday evening.
“Myanmar is locked in different fights due to their internal crisis. We do not know exactly whom Myanmar is fighting. Myanmar has reportedly conflict with Arakan Army,” he said.
The minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would take a decision on the recurrent mortar shells on the Bangladesh territory firing from Myanmar.
“We think Prime Minister and Foreign Ministry will decide on the issue soon. We are a peace-loving country. We never want anything spoiling peace.”
The minister said Bangladesh already summoned the Myanmar ambassador and protested the firings to Bangladesh territory.
Bangladesh would continue to protest and if needed, the problems would be placed before the United Nations, he added.
