Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, Bangladesh doesn’t want to involve in warfare and trying to solve the issue in peaceful, diplomatic ways; If necessary, we’d lodge complaint in United Nations.
He said this about recent mortar shelling of Myanmar in the border area between two countries while talking to the journalists on Saturday in Dhanmondi of the Capital.
Home Minister said, Government has conveyed strong protest against Myanmar’s shelling on Tumbru border in Ghumdhum union under Naikhongchari of Bandarban and death incident associated with it.
Earlier, mortar shelling from Myanmar fallen in the Rohingya camp on no man’s land on Friday evening caused death of one person, along with injury of three to four. Then, one mortar shell also got exploded in a house-yard inside Bangladesh.
Before that a Bangladeshi youth died in the mine-explosion in border-area near Tumbru.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs already summoned the Myanmar envoy to Bangladesh thrice over the issue. Dhaka lodged strong protests and shown deep concerns at shells landing inside Bangladeshi territory and violations of the country's air space.
