The parents of a newborn baby have named their child after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to express their gratitude and respect to her as Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League helped them by providing blood during the labour period.
According to the family sources, the mother of the newborn baby was on the verge of death for lack of blood as her family couldn’t manage the blood even after hard tries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday.
At one stage, a BCL activist saved her life by giving blood during the labour period.
Describing the situation, the father of the infant said, “Around 3 am, the doctor told me that without blood it’s impossible to save my pregnant wife. Then, I was informed about the virtual blood bank of the Chhatra League. I contacted them. The activists of the organisation began to search for the desired donor on different campuses. At last, one BCL activist of Kabi Nazrul College came forward to donate blood.”
With his blood, the patient came back to life and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
To express their gratitude and respect to the party and deep respect for Sheikh Hasina, the family of the newborn baby named their child ‘Hasina.’
The baby and the mother, both are in stable condition now.
The parents said, “We expect our daughter will also serve the nation in future like our Prime Minister. “
BCL Social Welfare Secretary Sheikh Swadhin said, “We have been able to manage blood from one of our activists. The parent was so happy that they named their baby after our honourable Prime Minister.”
