State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Sunday said fuel prices will be adjusted soon in the country.
“The government of Sheikh Hasina is pro-people. It will never let the people to the sufferings. There will be no load shedding in the country from the next month,” he said.
Nasrul Hamid came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion titled "Bangabandhu’s energy observation and energy security in Bangladesh: Volatile international market".
Forum for Energy Reporters Bangladesh organised the discussion at Bidyut Bhaban in the capital.
The state minister said, “A temporary crisis has been created due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Bangladesh has already incurred losses of over Tk 8,000 crore owing to the global fuel crisis. We just adjusted the fuel price to tackle the situation. We have to adjust the prices of fuel regularly after observing the ongoing global situation.”
