Israel’s relentless bombardment of Gaza continues with at least 21 Palestinians killed in attacks across the Strip since the early Monday.
The renewed assault comes hours after Israeli forces bombed the Nasser Hospital in Gaza, killing at least two people, including Hamas leader Ismail Barhoum, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 50,021 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 113,274 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza.
Meanwhile, Egypt has introduced a new proposal to try and get the Israel-Hamas ceasefire back on track.
Hamas would release five living captives, including an American-Israeli, in return for Israel allowing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and a weeks-long pause in the fighting, it quoted an unnamed Egyptian official as saying.
Israel would also release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
