The death toll from the Israeli attack on Gaza strip has risen to 31. Including six children, more than 260 people have been injured. Rocket sirens and explosions also heard in West Jerusalem.
Israel has unleashed a wave of air attacks on Gaza strip since Friday.
It has warned that its “preemptive” operation against the Palestinian Islamic Jihad could last a week. Its raids have destroyed apartment buildings in Gaza and killed two senior officials from the armed group.
On Sunday Rocket sirens sounded west of Jerusalem as rockets were launched into Israel. Their military said, the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted 97 percent of Palestinian rockets and no casualties had been reported.
