Bangladesh is participating in Fashion World Tokyo (FaW) 2024, which is happening from October 15 to 17 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan.
The Fashion World is the largest trade show for the fashion industry in Japan gathering all kinds of fashion wear, apparel, bags, shoes, textiles, leather, fashion accessories and fashion sourcing from all over the world. All major RMG and leather exporting countries are attending this event.
Bangladesh consistently participates in this fair through the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). This year, in addition to the regular participants, 19 new Bangladeshi companies, including manufacturers, suppliers, and buying houses from the apparel and leather sectors, are also taking part.
Chargé d' Affaires of Bangladesh Embassy in Japan, Shah Asif Rahman inaugurated Bangladesh pavilion on Tuesday. He along with Embassy officials visited Bangladeshi booths and interacted with the exhibitors on the first day of the fair (15 October 2024).
Asif encouraged the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to make strong efforts to increase their market share in Japan with more efforts and new items keeping in mind the unique requirements of Japanese people and added that Japan is a potential market for Bangladesh.
The exhibitors expect that Bangladesh’s participation in Fashion World Tokyo will play significant role to retain the prevailing market share and strengthen our position in Japanese market.
