State –run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will procure 8,000 metric tons of lentils and 10,000 metric tons of sugar for its Open Market Sale (OMS) programme on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan.
Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) in a meeting on Wednesday approved two separate proposals of the TCB.
As per the proposals, the TCB will procure 8,000 tons of lentil from Agrigo Trading Ltd of India at a cost of Tk 76.64 crore through an open tender.
Each kilogram (kg) of lentil will cost Tk 100.80.
The TCB will procure 10,000 tons of sugar from state-owned Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) through direct purchase method (DPM). Each kg of sugar will cost Tk 160.
