Metro Rail services remained suspended in the Karwan Bazar area on Tuesday after a gas-filled balloon became stuck on an electric power line.
According to MRT Police, the issue was detected around 12:50 pm when the balloon was found hanging from the high-voltage line of the metro system.
The incident occurred on the Karwan Bazar section of the metro rail, forcing authorities to temporarily halt train operations to ensure safety.
Officials said the removal process is taking time due to the high-voltage nature of the line.
Metro services are expected to resume once the balloon is safely removed, they added.
