Government has directed all CNG stations in Dhaka city to remain closed from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm during the month of Ramadan.
On Wednesday (March 5), the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources issued the related directive.
All CNG filling stations in Dhaka will remain closed from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm every day during Ramadan, it said.
Farhan Noor, General Secretary of the Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association, told the media, "If government has made this decision to reduce people's suffering and traffic congestion during Ramadan, we welcome it."
He also suggested that other measures should be taken to reduce traffic congestion on the roads.
