Law enforcers arrested 53 HSC students from the Bangladesh Secretariat at 4pm Wednesday after dispersing them from their positions inside as they were demonstrating against the exam results.
The students, including many failed candidates, were demanding for the scrapping of the results after breaching the Secretariat entrance at around 3pm.
Initially, the on-duty law enforcers requested them to leave their positions in the Secretariat.
As they declined to move, security personnel charged on them, beating some with batons.
Many of the protesting students were forced to leave the Secretariat, but a section got locked in on the premises.
