Bangladesh will play their final ICC Champions Trophy group-stage match against Pakistan on 27 February before returning home the following day.
However, the two teams may not have to wait long for their next encounter.
According to the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh is set to tour Pakistan at the end of May for a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series. Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing for Pakistan to visit Bangladesh in July-August for another white-ball series featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
Confirming the development, BCB cricket operations in-charge Shahriar Nafees stated that both boards are in talks regarding the possibility of the bilateral series.
“The BCB and PCB are in discussions about it. At the moment, both boards are positive,” said he.
