The core committee on law and order has taken several decisions to maintain the law and order situation normal and improve the overall situation further.
The core committee meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.
The core committee has taken the following decisions-
1. Checkposts will be increased at important points in the capital. The number of patrols will be increased in crime-prone areas. A joint force will be formed by the Bangladesh Army, various units of the police, and BGB members to conduct intensive operations in target areas.
2. An additional patrol of the Navy will be deployed on some important roads in the capital and an additional patrol of the Coast Guard will be deployed in some areas.
3. The heads of various police units, deputy police commissioners, brigade heads deployed in the army field and other responsible officers will brief the media from time to time over each incident.
4. Motorcycles will be purchased for DMP police members, BGB, Ansar and Bangladesh Coast Guard members, so that criminals can be caught by patrolling the alleys immediately.
5. Combined operations will be conducted in possible places where robbers and dacoits can be located and they will be arrested.
6. Patrols will be increased by law enforcement agencies outside Dhaka city, especially in Tongi, Basila, Keraniganj and Munshiganj areas.
7. 500 APBN members will be assigned to DMP and work with the police.
8. Law enforcement agencies will take immediate steps to make an updated list of terrorists based on police stations areas and bring them under the law.
9. Various steps will be taken to disseminate true information against lies, rumors and propaganda.
Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Housing and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Khoda Box Chowdhury, and senior law enforcement officials were present at the meeting, among others.
