A Dhaka court on Tuesday imposed a travel ban on fascist Sheikh Hasina’s press secretary Nayeemul Islam Khan, his wife Nasima Khan Monti and three daughters -- Labiba Nayeem Khan, Zulika Nayeem Khan and Adiva Nayeem Khan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Jakir Hossain Galib passed the order after hearing a petition filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) deputy director Afroza Haque Khan.
According to the petition, an allegation has been brought against Nayeemul for amassing wealth beyond known sources. Nayeemul, his wife and three daughters have 163 bank accounts and from the bank accounts they withdrew Tk 379 crore out of Tk 386 crore.
The petition further said that reliable sources have indicated that Nayeemul, and his family members are attempting to leave the country.
