Chittagong Kings' off-spinner Aliss Islam is once again under the scanner for a suspect bowling action.
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) technical committee has confirmed that he will undergo a bowling action test at Mirpur on 25 January.
“He will have to go through a test on 25 January,” BPL technical committee chairman Raqibul Hasan told Daily Sun.
This marks yet another challenge for Aliss, who had faced similar scrutiny in the past.
The spinner, who has played 8 matches and taken 11 wickets in the ongoing season, faced a suspected bowling action issue during his debut BPL season in 2019. Back then, playing for Rangpur Riders against the Dhaka Dynamites Aliss made headlines by taking a hat-trick.
However, he was reported for a suspect bowling action shortly after and disappeared from competitive cricket for two years before making a comeback in domestic leagues.
