Bangladesh won the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup for the second consecutive time by defeating India. The young tigers won by a huge margin of 59 runs in the battle to retain the title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
At the prize giving ceremony after the match, Indian captain Muhammad Aman explained the reason for the defeat, saying, "We could not start well in the opening like in the last two matches. Our batting was very good throughout the tournament. However, we could not make the kind of partnership we wanted to build in the final."
Aman further added, "After winning the toss, we thought that we could all out them with comparatively lower score. However, it cannot be said that they scored too many runs. We could not bat well. We have a lot to learn from this match. Hopefully, something good will happen in the future."
Earlier, the Bangladesh Under-19 team lost the toss and opted to bat. However, the team's total was not big. Navid Nawaz's team was all out for 198 runs with 5 balls to spare.
In reply, the Indian Under-19 team was bowled out for 139 runs in 35.2 overs.
