Bangladesh cricket star Shakib al Hasan has taken part in a test in England to prove his bowling actions are legitimate after suspicions arose during a county match, reports media.
Shakib underwent the bowling action test in a hospital in Birmingham on Tuesday. Suspicions were raised when he was playing for Surrey earlier this year.
As per media reports, during the match, Shakib was asked to undergo analysis of his bowling action by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as on-field umpires Steve O'Shaughnessy and David Millns deemed his bowling action to be suspicious.
The star all-rounder scalped nine wickets for Surrey in the thrilling Championship clash against Somerset at Taunton in September as he bowled for more than 63 overs in two innings.
It has been learned that Shakib bowled four overs in front of a specialist and remains confident that he will pass the test smoothly.
