Israeli quadcopter drones have bombed Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital, marking the fifth attack on the medical facility in recent weeks, according to reports.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent on the ground has noted a “surge” in Israeli strikes on Gaza City. Among the hardest-hit facilities is the al-Ahli hospital, which is struggling to manage mass casualties.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that at least 36 Palestinians were killed, and nearly 100 others were wounded in Israeli attacks across the enclave within the latest 24-hour reporting period.
In southern Lebanon, Israeli attacks have claimed at least 12 lives, further straining a fragile ceasefire with Hezbollah that was brokered last week.
Since October 7, 2023, the conflict has resulted in catastrophic losses. In Gaza, Israeli attacks have killed at least 44,502 Palestinians and injured 105,454 others. Meanwhile, the initial Hamas-led attacks in Israel on October 7 left 1,139 people dead and over 200 taken captive.
In Lebanon, Israeli strikes have killed at least 3,961 people and wounded 16,520 since the onset of the war on Gaza.
