The Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad has strongly condemned and protested the attack on Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, the capital of Tripura state in India, and the desecration of the national flag.
The organization also called this incident undesirable, unfortunate and condemnable.
This information was revealed in a statement signed by Manindra Kumar Nath, the acting general secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad on Tuesday.
In the statement, the Oikya Parishad said showing respect to the national flag of every country in the world is the sacred duty of the citizens of any country. Any kind of desecration of it is tantamount to undermining the independence and sovereignty of that country. Refraining from such activities with the flag of any country is essential for the national and international interests of the citizens of any country.
