The T20 technical consultant of the Bangladesh national cricket team Sridharan Sriram said he is very clear about his role in the team, reports UNB.
Bangladesh has none as the head coach in the T20 squad who are currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in this year’s Asia Cup.
Russell Domingo, the regular head coach of the tigers, is assigned to work with the Test and ODI teams only. Sridharan has recently been appointed as a technical consultant for the T20 squad till the T20 World Cup.
“I’m very clear about my role here,” he said at a press conference in Dubai, UAE, on Friday. “My role is to get the resources together. There are skill-coaches with the team and the captain and the team director. I will have to work with all of them and get them together.”
Sridharan previously worked with at least two IPL teams and with Australia national team. He believes his experience of working with the high-grade T20 teams will stand him in good stead in his new assignment.
