Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmud Sujon doesn't think that the philosophy of the Bangladesh cricket team’s head coach Russell Domingo goes augur well with the brand of cricket that the players would like to play, particularly in T20 format.
According to Mahmud, Sridharan Sriram was therefore appointed as technical consultant as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is keen to bring up positive vibe, reports BSS.
While Bangladesh have been vulnerable in this format right from the beginning, their playing method is also a cause concern as the players kept failing to learn the art of modern T20 cricket.
"You see, every person has a different philosophy. My philosophy or your philosophy is all different. Every coach has a different philosophy. His (Domingo's) may not suit our brand of cricket,” Mahmud said on Saturday as the speculations gained momentum that Domingo will no longer be Bangladesh's coach at least in T20 format.
“To be honest, it's beyond words. We are not able to perform in T20," he said.
