South Korean actor Song Jae-rim, 39, was discovered dead at his Seoul home. A two-page note was found at the scene on November 12, leading to questions about the circumstances of his death.
Song Jae-rim, who started his career as a model, later became known for his acting roles in popular dramas such as ‘Moon Embracing the Sun’ (2012), ‘Two Weeks’(2013), and ‘Our Gap-soon’(2016–2017),reports The Daily Star.
According to Xportnews, Song Jae-rim's funeral is planned for November 14 at the Funeral Hall of Yeouido St Mary's Hospital.
Fans were heartbroken upon hearing of Song Jae-rim's death. "We are truly saddened by the loss of actor Song Jae-rim. His talent, warmth, and unique charm brought joy to so many. Another commented, "I remember him from 'We Got Married'—it's heartbreaking. May his soul rest in peace."
A different fan added, "You never know the silent battles someone might be facing. Rest in peace, Song Jae-rim."
Song Jae-rim began his career as a runway model, collaborating with renowned designers like Juun J, Herin Homme, and Ha Sang Beg. His success in modeling led him to appear in prestigious publications, including "Bazaar Korea", "Vogue Girl Korea", and "GQ Korea".
Transitioning to acting in 2009, he quickly gained attention for his roles in popular dramas such as "Clean with Passion for Now" (2018) and "I Wanna Hear Your Song" (2019).
His appearance in the fourth season of "We Got Married" with actress Kim So-eun further amplified his fame and endeared him to a broader audience.
In 2024, Song Jae-rim played Go Pae-eui, the first prince, in the drama "Queen Woo." He also featured as Song Jae-hun, a member of an anti-unification group, in the series "My Military Valentine."
