BGB stops attempt to push-in 20 people at Chapainawabganj border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has tried to push 20 people in through the Chapainawabganj Chowka border. However, due to immediate stoppage of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB), they took a position inside India at the zero line.

This incident took place this Saturday morning.

Lt. Col. Tajul Islam Chowdhury, the commander of Mahananda Battalion, 59 BGB, confirmed the matter and said that since they are inside India, it is not possible to say how many men, women or children there are. However, it is estimated that there may be 20 people.

He also said that BGB patrols have been strengthened at the border. In addition, people from the border area have also taken a position at the border.
