The Meteorological Department has warned of a storm in four districts of the country by noon. It may be accompanied by rain with thunder, so river ports have been asked to be alert.
The inland river port forecast published by the Meteorological Department on Sunday (May 24) has said that there may be thunderstorms or rain with gusty winds in some places in Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Cumilla and Sylhet districts by 1 pm.
For this reason, river ports in these areas have been instructed to display warning signal number 1.
The Meteorological Office said that sudden gusts of wind and thunderstorms may pose a risk to boat traffic. Therefore, those concerned have been urged to be careful.
