The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the Jatiya Eidgah on the High Court premises at 7:30 am on May 28.
In case of inclement weather, the main Jamaat will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 am.
Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Mamun Al Morshed Chowdhury confirmed this information to the media on Wednesday.
He said that this decision was made at an inter-ministerial meeting on the celebration of Eid ul Azha recently in the meeting room of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The relevant ministries and organizations are already working to implement the decisions taken in the meeting.
The Dhaka South City Corporation is in charge of managing the main congregation. The main congregation is usually attended by the President, Prime Minister, ministers, state ministers, high-ranking government officials, diplomats and people from various levels.
Eid ul Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims in the country, will be celebrated on May 28.
