Nahid Islam, chief of the National Citizen Party (NCP), said the party has preparations for the national parliament elections.
He said this at a press conference organized at the central office of NCP at Rupayan Tower in Banglamotor in the capital on Friday.
Nahid Islam said, “The police are currently in a very fragile state after the uprising. It will be very difficult to hold elections in such a fragile state of the police. Before holding the elections, we must improve the policing system and the law and order situation. For that, political parties and social forces along with the government must also come forward and cooperate.”
He said that the NCP has the mentality and preparation for the elections. And we want to see the Constituent Assembly elections along with the National Parliament.
The NCP's demand is not only for the national parliament elections or the Constituent Assembly elections. Before that, we want to see visible judicial proceedings.
