Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday forecasted that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at one or two places over the country, while the weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Monday.
"A rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Jashore and Kushtia, while the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” it said.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal and the adjoining areas. A seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Moderate to thick fog may occur over the southern part of the country and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during late night to early morning.
Night and day temperatures may rise by one to two degrees Celsius over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 32.4 degrees Celsius at Jashore and the minimum temperature on Monday was 12.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun will set at 05:55 pm on Monday and will rise at 06:30 am on Tuesday in Dhaka.
