343 more people in the capital and across the country have been arrested under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ campaign in the last 24 hours.
1,521 also get arrested under other cases and warrants.
This information was given by the Police Headquarters on Monday.
A foreign pistol, two magazines, 11 rounds of bullets, six shotgun cartridges, three knives, three swords, an axe, 10 cocktails, eight sticks, four rods and four big daggers have been recovered under the Operation Devil Hunt raid.
Operation Devil Hunt began simultaneously across the country from February 8. On February 7, Awami League terrorists attacked students and the public in Gazipur. The attack was led by leaders and activists of the Awami League, incited by Sheikh Hasina, the dictator who was ousted in a student uprising. The attack resulted in several casualties and deterioration in the law and order situation.
