Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s National Standing Committee Member Mr. Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said it is their problem who dreams of ‘minus two’ formula ahead of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s foreign trip. He said that the dream will never come true.
He made the statement after paying homage at Ziaur Rahman’s grave along with some leaders of BNP and its affiliates who came to the country from the United States on Friday.
Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said: “Many have tried, including Ershad Hossain, One Eleven government, but they were unsuccessful. BNP is a very strong party today.”
He said: “The leaders and activists who came from abroad were vocal in the anti-fascist movement. Their sacrifices in the movement for the past 16 years should not be forgotten. Even though they are abroad, their families have suffered in the country.”
In response to a question, Khosru said: “We will discuss the July Proclamation. We must have all the records of our movement documenter.”
Elections will be the first reform to restore democracy, he furthered.
