Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to chief adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, said the free textbook distribution among primary and secondary-level students could fully be completed by February 2025.
He on Thursday shared the information while addressing a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
He said: “We expect all students to get textbooks in their hands by next month, and the interim government is working in this regard.”
He said: “During the Awami League regime, they held book festival on January 1st, but students used to get it after three to four months, but this time all the students will get new books by February.”
He said the government will ensure that everyone gets book on January 1st from next year.
