Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) Amir and Pir of Charmonai Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim on Monday urged the affluent people of society, including his party leaders and activists to stand by the cold-stricken people, reports BSS.
“The low-income, poor and needy people are suffering a lot due to the lack of necessary warm clothes . . . It is very urgent for political leaders, workers, supporters and the wealthy people of the country to come forward to help the vulnerable cold-stricken people,” he said.
The Charmoni pir said this while distributing warm clothes among the destitute suffering from the cold at the IAB party headquarters in Purana Paltan Monday.
The IAB Amir said, “Despite this shivering winter in the capital and other cities, many people are spending the night under the open sky at stations and on the streets as well. In this situation, it is the moral and humane responsibility of the rich to stand by the helpless people in the cold.”
Putting emphasis on establishing an Islamic rule in Bangladesh, Mufti Rezaul said then people would not have had to spend their days in such hardship under the open sky in severe cold, rain, and storms.
