Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus said the individual has more power than the government. When the human personality is awakened, all problems can be resolved. Business should be done not only in the interest of the individual but also in the public interest. And it is possible to protect the public interest through social business.
He made the remarks while inaugurating the walkathon and social service conference organized by the Department of Social Services on Thursday morning.
The chief adviser said social service is not a job of the Ministry of Social Welfare. Rather, its job is to remind all to serve the society.
He also said social service is the responsibility of every person and the ministry's job is to remind everyone, lest anyone forgets this responsibility and not move away from it. That is why this day is being observed to remind everyone in the country about this responsibility. Hopefully, this call will reach everyone.
